![]() ![]() The cats are visually checked for an existing ear tip before being brought back to our feral cat room where they safely remain in their covered trap. When the cats arrive, we ask that they be brought into the clinic covered by a sheet or blanket. Handling these cats is often unsafe, and can lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety for the cat. We require feral/free-roaming cats to come in live, humane traps to minimize the handling of these cats. We are passionate about decreasing the overpopulation of cats and strive to give these cats the most stress-free experience possible while in our care. Northwest Spay & Neuter Center offers spay and neuter services to help support the feral cat communities and TNR (trap-neuter-return) programs. The package is for feral cats only, and includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccination, FVRCP vaccine, ear tip (required), tattoo, and flea treatment (if needed). Please talk with one of our staff members for more information and resources. Overtly friendly is defined as able to be handled with NO fear of humans. Please note: If a feral cat is found to be overtly friendly, full pricing will be applied. Our Feral Cat Package service fee is a $25 copay. If you need to rent a trap, please visit our clinic Monday – Friday, from 10 am – 4 pm prior to bringing any feral cats in carriers. When the trap is returned to NWSNC within a month, the charge fee is refunded. If a feral cat does not arrive in a trap, we will not accept the cat the same day. No transfers from carriers to traps will be allowed in your car, our parking lot, or in our building. We ask that if your trapping was unsuccessful, please call or email to cancel your appointment so another trapper can utilize it.Īll feral cats MUST come individually in a live, humane trap. Scheduled feral cat appointments do not require a deposit. We understand the amount of time it takes to trap a feral cat and would love to take every feral cat brought to us each day, but for the safety of all the animals we see, this is just not possible.
